A girl who idolises a past relationship finds it hard to move on and find someone else. Montage shots in a warm filter will be used to show the protagonists love with her past relationship compared to her current life without him in blue filters. She meets a series of different guys that just don't appear as good as the guy from her past. It will be in settings appropriate to the age of the characters such as around a school environment, town etc.
I intend on diverse representation throughout the music video. The protagonists clothing items will be different when in the two states of warm and cold. In the warm state her clothes will be more girly and feminine where as in the cold state she'll be in darker clothing to reflect her more and state of mind. The guy from the warm state will be stereotypically good looking (tall, dark and handsome) with glasses to also suggest intelligence. The other guys may be equally as good-looking, how ever in the protagonists eyes this is untrue.
These are the two song choices for my music video. The first one is more of a cryptic choice as it allows for more interpretation of the lyrics within the music video as well as mentioning a previous love 'taking something' and the idea of moving on. The second choice is more set in stone had has clear and precise lyrics to work with. It allows the listener/audience to understand the storyline of moving on to meet new people but not fully commit to them by saying 'please don't say you love me'
The song choice is something I will make later on after a series of surveys to my target audience in order to get a more successful choice.
